The underside is uneven, designed to ride along the right edge of folds, allowing you to perfectly topstitch areas where there is more bulk on the right side, areas such as waistbands, pockets, collars and topstitched seams. You can use the straight stitch in any needle position of most any utility or decorative stitch with the Pfaff Right Edge Bi-level Foot. Can be used with the dual feed.
