Sew a perfect 1/4" seam when using the Pfaff Perfect 1/4 Inch Foot. Red lines mark 1/4" & 1/8" pivot points in front of and behind the needle.
What makes this foot different than the standard 1/4" foot and "adjustable" is that the needle opening is slightly wider. This width allows you to move the needle position slightly left or right (up to three positions) to achieve a perfect 1/4" seam. This allows you to sew a scant 1/4" seam or if your machine's needle is not dead center as it should be, you can move the needle to have an accurate 1/4" seam. NOTE: You can use the straight stitch needle plate only with the center needle position. To sew a scant 1/4" seam, you will need to use your standard zig-zag needle plate.
The Pfaff Perfect 1/4 Inch Foot is also wonderful for topstitching. Adjust the needle position to place your stitching exactly where you want it on your blocks, garments or home decor projects. You can also use the Pfaff Perfect 1/4 Inch Foot to sew 1/8" and 3/8" seams!
Available with and without the guide. The Pfaff Perfect 1/4 Inch Foot Without Guide is EXCLUSIVE to The Colorful World of Sewing. Some like the right guide as it prevents you from sewing too far from the edge and some people prefer no guide so they can better watch the fabric edge along the edge of the foot. In our opinion, both are great to have as some situations and projects are easier with one or the other and you just don't know until you are sewing which might be better, so to have both at the ready is wonderful!
