Sew a perfect 1/4" seam when using the Husqvarna Viking Adjustable Quilter's 1/4" Piecing Foot. Red lines mark 1/4" & 1/8" pivot points in front of and behind the needle.
What makes this foot different than the standard 1/4" foot and "adjustable" is that the needle opening is slightly wider. This width allows you to move the needle position slightly left or right (up to three positions) to achieve a perfect 1/4" seam. This allows you to sew a scant 1/4" seam or if your machine's needle is not dead center as it should be, you can move the needle to have an accurate 1/4" seam. NOTE: If you have the newer straight stitch plate with the "adjustable" oval hole, you can use your straight stitch plate with this foot. If you have the older straight stitch needle plate with the small round hole, you will not be able to use that plate.
