Also Known As An Even Feed Foot or Dual Feed Foot
If you want the very best walking foot available, look no further! The Singer Walking Foot With Interchangeable Soles is the only walking foot on the market that comes with two different soles, PLUS has FOUR OPTIONAL SOLES available! And the only place you will find this incredible walking foot is here at THE COLORFUL WORLD OF SEWING!
“Everyone sells a walking foot, what makes this one different?” you may be wondering. Good question! You can buy a basic walking foot for $15. What you get for that price is a poorly made, poorly designed walking foot that is loud, wobbles from side to side and often scoots the top layer of fabric ahead as it was not engineered with precision. The Singer Walking Foot With Interchangeable Soles is a precision engineered piece of sewing equipment, designed by a manufacturer who makes presser feet for the top European sewing machine brands, they cut no corners! You get a tool that when you see and use it, you can tell it is not only made to last, but to perform flawlessly on your sewing machine. Yes, it is pricey, but good quality tools that perform flawlessly are always a worthwhile investment as you will have them forever.
A walking foot is used for even feeding of fabric layers. The walking foot grips the top layer of fabric to feed the top layer precisely as the machine feed dogs move the bottom layer, there´s no more shifting! Great for quilting or matching stripes and plaids. The Walking Foot With Interchangeable Soles is also ideal for sewing napped and other difficult to sew fabrics that tend to creep, slip or stretch while you are sewing. A straight stitch is generally used, though other utility stitch patterns and some decorative stitches can also be used as necessary because The Singer Walking Foot With Interchangeable Soles was engineered to sew with more than just a straight stitch.
Standard are two interchangeable soles: a unique standard straight stitch sole for seaming and a zig-zag sole with open toe for visibility and sewing other utility stitches. Both soles have red guidelines on them for ¼” markings and needle placement. What really sets The Singer Walking Foot With Interchangeable Soles apart from every other walking foot on the market is that it has FOUR additional soles available for purchase that snap on and off! No screwdriver needed and no prying off the soles to swap out! These four soles are sold separately and include a ¼” seaming sole, a stitch in the ditch sole, an open toe sole for decorative stitching and a guide sole for decorative stitching in the ditch. They are sold below, please see each for complete details as to what they can do for you.
Includes left and right adjustable edge guides so you can easily stitch a chosen distance from the edge of a fabric or from a previously sewn row of stitching. Great for linear quilting and deep hems on draperies, etc. A detailed full color instruction booklet is included as well, plus a reusable storage container to keep everything together when not in use.
The Singer Walking Foot With Interchangeable Soles has been enthusiastically received by all of us here and those lucky enough to test them for us when we were choosing a new walking foot to sell. We know you will be equally as pleased with it the moment you take your first stitch!

Singer has had so many models made by so many different manufacturers with all three major shank styles, it's impossible for there to be an accurate list of models to tell which model uses which feet, so you will need to check your machine yourself with these easy instructions.
If your Singer model has the wide 6mm snap on shank on the machine, you can use all the snap on presser feet in this category as well as the low shank presser feet which screw onto the machine, no shank needed. If you have a model with the older narrower snap on shank on your machine, you will need to purchase the new wider 6mm snap on shank here: S-5011-1.
Unless your machine has a slant needle and shank (when viewed from the left side of the machine) your machine is a low shank machine and uses all of the low shank screw on presser feet in this category.
- Singer SE9180 uses Viking presser feet
- Singer Featherweight C240 uses Pfaff presser feet
- We do not sell feet for the older Singer slant needle machines.
