The Pfaff sliding buttonhole foot can be used on all Pfaff models with or without the buttonhole sensor guide. You can use the Pfaff Sliding Buttonhole Foot on both 9mm and 6mm stitch width models.

-Models 1229, 1222, 1221, 1217, 1216, 1215, 1214, 1213, 1212, 1211, 1209, 1199, 1197 & 1196 are all high shank. Models that came with Pfaff's high snap on shank can use Pfaff style snap on presser feet. There is no longer any adapter to allow the use of Pfaff snap on feet. Generic snap on and generic low shank feet cannot be used on these models.
