Janome Free Motion Couching Foot Set
Choose options
The Janome Free Motion Couching Foot is designed to let you sew over cords and yarns as you do free motion stitching on quilts or other embellishment projects. The Free Motion Couching Feet can also be used for couching on embroidery machines when doing outline quilting in the embroidery hoop. Includes three feet with openings of: 1.5mm, 2mm & 3mm for various sizes of cord and yarn. You can also use the Janome Free Motion Couching Feet for quilting “ruler work” as they are 1/4” from the center to the outer edge of the foot. Includes instructions.
For easy threading of the yarn though the foot, we recommend the serger looper/needle threader sold below.
Be sure to watch our instructional video above to learn how to use the Free Motion Couching Foot Set!
This foot is for low shank models only. You will need to move your needle position to the left to center the needle in the foot opening. This is done with the stitch width control, see your machine manual for details. IMPORTANT! Use the "COMPATIBILITY DETAILS" tab to know which feet fit your Janome model.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SHANK HEIGHT
Janome has made so many machines, even they do not have a comprehensive list of each model. Fortunately, it’s easy to tell which feet fit your machine.
- Check your shank height using the photo above as a guide
- Know your machine's stitch width, either 7mm or 9mm
- Each snap on presser foot will indicate whether it is a 7mm stitch width foot or a 9mm stitch width foot.
- Screw on feet are available in either low shank or high shank.
--All Janome, Elna & Kenmore machines with a front-loading, removable, vertical bobbin case, your machine uses feet from our Generic category.
--Swiss made Elna machines, you will need presser feet from our Generic category.
--Older Kenmore super high shank machines, we do not have feet available for these machines.
