Bernina Adjustable Ruler Foot #72 for New Style Models

The Bernina Adjustable Ruler Foot #72 allows you to sew along longarm quilting rulers to create decorative quilt designs such as lines, feathers, circles etc. Any commercial longarm quilting ruler with a ¼ inch thickness can be used. The height of the sole of the foot makes it possible to quilt along all the edges of these rulers which is of utmost importance especially with circles.
With this technique the feed dog is lowered and the fabric with the ruler is guided manually with the base of the foot resting against the edge of the ruler. Due to the adjustment dial the height of the foot can be adjusted to match the fabric thickness individually so that the fabric can be moved smoothly and without getting stuck. Moreover, this additional option provided by the adjustable foot height extends the scope of applications for BERNINA sewing machines without the function ‘automatic presser foot pressure/presser foot height’.
This is a generic presser foot. To attach to your machine, you will need the Bernina shank adapter sold below that can be used for all presser feet in this category. Use the "COMPATIBILITY DETAILS" tab to check whether your Bernina is a "New Style" or "Old Style" model.
Bernina Presser Feet
Most of the presser feet in this category are generic feet that are guaranteed to work as perfectly on your Bernina as the much more expensive Bernina made presser feet. To use generic feet, all you need is the Bernina adapter sold below on the page. The snap on shank on entry level Bernina models will not work with any other feet than the snap on feet that came with your machine. You will need to purchase our adapter.
