The Bernette Clear Zig-Zag Foot is an “all purpose” presser foot for all general utility sewing. Because it is clear, you can easily follow a line drawn on the fabric such as a dart or following shapes drawn for making turn and stitch appliques. Plus, line up stitching to match previous stitching such as when repairing a seam. While many people use an Open Toe Foot for this purpose, it is not the best choice when sewing utility stitches on medium to lightweight fabrics as it does not hold the fabric securely enough for stitches to form optimally. The Clear Zig-Zag Foot will give you much more uniform stitches.
The Bernette Clear Zig-Zag Foot does not have the slight indentation on the underside of the foot that the standard Zig-Zag Foot has, the Clear Zig-Zag Foot has a completely flat bottom, giving more support to fine fabrics while they are being stitched. And unlike the Straight Stitch Foot, the Clear Zig-Zag Foot has the added bonus of being able to use a zig-zag or other utility stitch to suit the task at hand.

-Bernette b77 & b79 models: You must purchase the Bernette Snap On Shank in order to use any of the snap on feet in this category, the snap on feet in this category do not fit the shank on your machine. Low shank feet screw directly onto the machine unless otherwise excluded in the item details.
-Bernette models 330, 410, 420, 430, 440, 680, 705, 715, 720, 730 & 740 can use any low shank feet in this category. To use snap on feet, you will need to purchase the Bernette Snap On Shank. Only the feet that came with your machine will work with the snap on shank that came with the machine.
