SAMPLES OF BLUE is made of various samples of home decorator fabrics, which are heavier than most traditional quilting fabrics, giving it a heavier weight and feel than traditional quilts. The fabrics range in fiber types, weights and textures, giving it a very rich brocade feeling. Ivory sashing strips are a lovely jacquard fabric giving subtle, but rich character. The throw is enhanced with embroidery stitches over every seam giving it extra color and texture. The quilt is edged with luxurious tassel trim with such an opulent feel to it, making this piece perfectly suited to any décor with such neutral colors dominating it. There is no batting used as the front and back fabrics are so heavy. Speaking of backing, it is a unique nubby textured cotton fabric that makes it just as visually interesting as the quilt top! Due to the tassel fringe, we recommend hand washing or spot cleaning this quilt, line dry.
Measures approximately 53 inches by 52 inches. Keep in mind this quilt will be folded up in shipping, so it will arrive with some wrinkles and folds. A light press with plenty of steam from an iron or a professional steamer or tumble dry low for a few minutes will relax the wrinkles and allow it to lie flat and look its best.
