The Edge Guide Guarantees Perfect 1/4" Seams
Bernina Patchwork foot # 57 with guide differs from Bernina Patchwork foot # 37 only in that it has a built-in seam guide along the right edge of the foot. It is therefore particularly suitable for patchwork projects with 1/4” or 1/8” seam allowances. Other precision sewing techniques requiring a perfectly straight seam also benefit from the use of Bernina Patchwork foot # 57 with guide. Here, the edge guide is placed directly against the fabric edge or seam line to yield straight spacings and lines when sewing.
A further improvement has been made on this aftermarket foot as the guide has a base deisgned not to fall into the feed dog hole on 9mm models and get stuck which happens with the Bernina made #57 foot. Includes instructions.
